monsoon???
I am thinking about getting a monsoon. I really like the way the truggies look and perform. I want to spend as little money as possible because I also have a Tornado BB I need to maintain. Is there any place to go other than Redcats website and ebay that might have a lower price, or can anyone hook me up with a discount? The main reason I want a monsoon is my dad and me are kinda competing and he has a hurricane. I don't want to get the same thing he has, and after looking at the monsoon I really think that is what I want to get.

RE: monsoon???
I love the avalanche. The best handling MT I have ever driven and it has GOBS of power. Its a very well built truck. Its my sons truck and I have a truggy. He gives my truggy a run for its money. I wanted to get one for myself but decided on getting a mini since I already have a 1/8 truggy and a Tsunami.

RE: monsoon???
the monsoon would be better to compete with your dads hurricane, the avalanche is great for all around use. Drop dennis an email at clermontmotorsports.com, i am sure he will do the right thing by you, he always does for me.
my suggestion is to go with someone who is on the forums here so you can get support.

I am in the same situation, not sure what 1/8 to buy. It will be 90% for bashing but would like something that handles well on a dirt track. I really like the Avalanche but am not sure how well it will handle.

RE: monsoon???
thanks bro. I went ahead and sent him an email explaining what I was looking for. Hopefully I will get a response soon. I am going to buy a new one with my tax return. I will have that in 9-14 days so hopefully I will be going on that before too long. I am also going to tear apart my Tornado tomorrow after work and see what is wrong with it and get parts ordered for it so I will have 2 Redcats running strong. I have looked at a couple of others from different manufacturers, and I think I am definitely going with a Redcat. They seem to have better explanations on everything, and I have heard so much about them, and now that I own one I am definitely pleased with it, even though I keep breaking it, ha ha. Will keep you posted on what happens. Thanks again... hope this book wasn't too long for you.[sm=spinnyeyes.gif]

RE: monsoon???
Affordable,
The avalanche handles like no other. Very much like a Truggy. Its based off of the truggy design. Low center of gravity and it really flies. You wont fine a better handleing monster truck anywhere. Yes it handles that good. Other wise go for the monsoon.

RE: monsoon???
I have read great things about the Avalanche handling. Problem is, my buddy has a Hurricane that is setup to race on the street so I need something that can keep up. I would love to get an Avalanche but I think the Monsoon is better suited for the street. We'll see what happens, might end up getting all 3.
