Default Parts complaint

When you order a Redcat part, why don't they come with the associated screws and fasteners? For example, when you order a header, why doesn't it come with the bolts and a new gasket, or when you order an arm pin why doesnt it come with the eclips, etc. I know Redcat and others are in the business to make money, but I wouldnt mind, and I'm sure others wouldnt also, paying $0.50 - $1.00 more for parts if it came with fasteners. Just my rant. Sorry

lol, all companies sell each component seperate. Just like when you buy a pipe or muffler for your real car, clamps, hangers and gaskets are not included.

the reason i am sayint this is if you have to order screws, how do you decipher from the manual what screws. i ordered a front bumper then i ordered the bumper post and springs, which i can understand. on pg 48 of my manual there is a part the bumper post goes into but no number or explaination of what it is, and i guess i need them to fit it correctly and what screws do you scre thru the front of the bumper??

eh... some companies have their own ways they sell product. But, its the way the product comes from the factory and they are sold that way too.

Or maybe redcat can add a spot on there parts description that says the part # of the screws and other stuff that is required for the install.

just an idea. but maybe they should offer different "fastener kits", for different applications. i know it would be more part #'s but it would make everything a little easier for everyone i think. they do that for cars.

I am sorry Don, []

Next time, i will try to ask my customers if they have all the appropriate screws and parts to be able to install the parts they bought.

I am very very sorry again.

P.S. Please let me know which screws you need and if you need a gasket for your header. If yes, i will send to you for free. My first goal is to satisfied my customers.

Seb

some parts come with some hardware..but yeah ya gotta pay close attention when ordering..I bought a fishing tackle bag that came with 3 plastic trays...went to store that specializes in nuts and bolts with spare screw sizes and loaded up...sure theres alot I havent got but can always return...for instance if you own a hurricane the front upper arm screws arent long enuff...get about 3 to 4 mm longer ones or you will strip out your hub...

That is a very good idea, it would help customers like me a lot. It may also bag a couple extra dollars in parts sales to each order redcat gets.
