Locking Center Diff.? PLEASE HELP
I know i can lock my center differential on my volcano SV to get power to all of the wheels, but how do i do it? I know that you can use silly putty, but how do i put it in the center diif? Will it give my a substantial amount of more power (say enough to do a wheelie)?

[sm=spinnyeyes.gif]shows you what i know. I just got my volcano in January. My diffs still do have slippage tho, but i probably shouldnt mees with them even tho there has to be a way to lock them like you see in thos electric crawlers.

RE: Locking Center Diff.? PLEASE HELP
Macanan he wants to lock teh center diff which there is none.
Perhamrocks, The crawlers are set up way different from these 1/10 trucks. To get sealed diffs with fluid and even a center diff you would have to step up to a 1/8 scale. Nite and day difference on build, performance and reliability. Not much you can do to a 1/10 when it comes to drivetrain.

RE: Locking Center Diff.? PLEASE HELP
it helps cause the wheels have to spin together causing them not to spin out as much if you punch the throttle with unlock giffs the right rear wheel sees most of the power if you lock the diff each wheel get the same amount of power

RE: Locking Center Diff.? PLEASE HELP
locking center diff causes all 4 wheels to spin at the same speed together this is mainly done in crawlers MY AX-10 has a locked tranny and locked diffs slow spinning together allows it to crawl very well
