i have a redcat volcano 5v pro for some reason it idles extremely high when throttled back and brake on. linkage isnt hitting pull start handle. when observing carb it is not sticking in position. problem first started half way through a run. now it just idles high right off the bat. i tried adjusting idle to no avail. please help any suggestions apreciated.

check and see if you idle is set to high for some reason, pull the air filter off and hit the brake and see where the car is set to, should be 1mm open,
if its a high/uneven sounding idle it could be your low end needle is too lean.

RE: High idle with brake on throttle back
thanks for your reply - throttle looks like it is open at least 2-3 mm - will adjust it. Also I have been told gas is only good for 3-4 weeks - is this true?

RE: High idle with brake on throttle back
thanks for picture - looks exactly the same as mine. I have tried turning idle screw counterclockwise still runs fast - is their a way to close gap in throttle. Looks like it rotates inside carb and there is still a 2-3mm opening when throttle fully backed off.
