Default Pull or Electric Start?

My pull start on my volcano just broke and I am thinking about upgrading to the electric start. Should I just order a new pull start or spend the extra money and get the electric start?

imo, pullstart, you need to have to have a charged battery with you all the time to start it when you have the rotostart. just my opinion, some people love the rotostart.

Its all up to you. The electric starts work great, sure saves a lot of hassle on the days your car is having issues. I personally like to use pullstarts simply because it is one less thing you need to bring with you. You may want to consider a bump box then replace the pullstart down the road, then you have the best of both worlds.

Then my next question is are there any pullstarters that are better then others or should I just go with a redcat brand replacement.

your best off with the redcat since they changed their backplate recently, the older engines use the hpi nitrostar.15 pullstart but now the pullstarts are different.

its gonna be hard to find a bump box that works on the volcano, the engine sits kinda high and the opening on the bottom needs to be made bigger to get to the flywheel.

The new Redcat pullstarts are better, they have a much thicker string on them.

I agree with everyone else here. Pullstart is easier than having to deal with batteries. It's not like it's very hard to pull on the rip cord anyways. It's not like a 4-wheeler where you can encounter major wiplash.
