In a nutshell, after every use/play with a NiCd pack, always discharge it, anywhere from 1-10A is fine. When it comes to charging them, you don't want to overcharge because you can damage the packs. If the pack capacity is less than 2000 mAh, I wouldn't charge it at a higher rate than 5 A(amps). If its anywhere from 1500-1800, I suggest charging no higher than 4 amps.

If you notice you are losing run time and punch from your packs, you can cycle them. Do a discharge, then charge it up... repeat 2 or 3 times. Its one way of reviving a pack. Doing so can help keep that cell memory to a minimum.

You can get an intellapeak charger that will take care of everything. It will discharge and recharge or get some good NiMh batteries so you dont have to worry about a memmory effect. I would still recommend the charger. This way you will never over charge teh batteries.

Intellipeak chargers are really good. I have one and it rarely false peaks. Twomanytoys, NIMH does have memory effect, it's just not anywhere near as much as NICD

Pede the memory effect on e NiMH is so low you wont even notice it although it is recommended to disscharge them every once in a while unlike NiCd which need to be disscharged often. Yes the intellapeaks are the way to go for any NiCd or NiMh batts.
