the air filter oil used for nitro's is a bit stickier than the k&n but the k&n could be used.

you can use it to clean a filter but not to oil it, too thin. Air filter oil for the nitro's is very tacky, your best off with rc air fitler oil.

head to the nearest ATV/motorcycle/snowmobile dealer and pick up a bottle of foam air filter oil. Look for PJ1, Belray or Ipone and use that. You get a lot more oil for your money and its also better than whats in the rc market.

if the head screws off of it, just put a regular battery in it, c cell or whatever battery is in there, i dont have one from the starter kit but i do have some that has a removable head and you can swap the battery. Just figured i would give you a suggestion and i may be wrong.

I just read a write up on this in RC Driver magazine (I think). They said the nitro fuel makes the foam expand, then it is cleaned out with dishwashing detergent and running water.
