Drive Cup grub screws
Does anyone know the size of the drive cup grub screws for my monsoon.
The manual doesn't have a part number for the screws, and searching the redcat site, I found M4*4 grub screws (02099) and M3*3 (86081) grub screws.
I think its the M4*4, but I want to make sure.
thanks

RE: Drive Cup grub screws
You know, I was thinking about taking all the hardware from my project Hurricane to my local fastener supply store to be identified and I never got around to it. I was going to make up a list and go with stainless fasteners.
I even thought about putting together a little kits in case anyone else wanted one.
I guess it will have to wait.

RE: Drive Cup grub screws
Thanks ehroof !
I tried going down to my local hardware store, but the only grub screws they had were not metric. Pretty strange if you ask me though since I am in Canada
ANyways, I'll order the M3*3 to replace mine.
Just curious, but what are the M4*4 used for? I don't see any larger grub screws on both my 1/8 (earthquake, monsoon) or 1/10 (tornado) redcats. I do however see a smaller where the pipe is secured to the wire hanger.

errr....so now I'm confused.
The one you replaced, was it on a 1/8? or should I try to find a 5mm since the monsoon is a 1/8th?
Thanks

RE: Drive Cup grub screws
hmmm so it is 5mm.
I don't see any on the redcat site.
I guess they don't have those?
I may have to go to another hardware store and try out their grub screws.

Since redcat doesn't carry these, I guess I will try to find it somewhere else.

Try this... saw them advertising when I was reading this post!
Edit:
Cool... I think I'll change out all the countersunk phillips-head screws on the bottom of the chassis with [link=http://rtlfasteners.com/RC/z.html]Hex's[/link]
