Those slicks actually can be too much traction on the street. My buddy runs them on his Hurricane; he rolled it a half a dozen times this weekend due to too much traction.

RE: 1/8 buggy tires
looks like i will have to spend some money tonight since either my brother cartwheeled it to many times or i did to many donuts, it ripped up one of the back tires pretty good.
here is a short video of the other day. the battery ran dead on me.

Thanks for reminding me... I need to order a spare set! Think I'm going to try the racing spikes this time. I have the Mohawks and the Big Blocks already... and a 50' of fuel line while I'm at it.

I dug deep and bought an [link=http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXSGB0&P=ML]Airtronics MX-3 FHSS[/link]... I guess I justified it by not having to buy a failsafe (it's built in).
I can talk myself into anything if I try hard enough!
It works killer by the way... I can even yank the AA battery plate out and jam a flat pack in to power the transmitter. If I want to pony up $85 everytime I get a new RC for the reciever, it has an 18 model memory.
