I made a mistake, can I fix it? Volcano EPX
Ok guys, I got way ahead of myself when I got my Volcano EPX. I had no idea how much money could/would be spend upgrading batteries and going to brushless, etc. While I do like the Volcano EPX, I'm not particularly fond of it. Now for my question. Is it feasible to change this thing over to nitro? I haven't looked at the exploded views of the two side by side, I should probably do that. Are there huge differences in the chassis or driveline, other than the powerplants and "trans"? I've driven this thing about an hour all together. Might be more cost effective to sell it and then buy a nitro Volcano. If that's the case, anyone interested in a barely used Volcano? Thoughts?

Keep it as a back up for RC addiction its a loose , loose situation sorry to say and a lot more reliable than Nitro so have 2.................Ask ehroof I think he has 3 or 4 back ups

you would need a chassis, trans, engine, clutch, shoes, it would be cheaper to buy a volcano sv instead by the time you were done.

Yeah, but that's more money. I know everyone says the SH is a much better engine, but I kinda like the quirkiness of the VX I've got. Not to say I wouldn't love to have an SH or an OS, but for the money, or lack thereof, I don't mind tuning all the time. I keep a pocket screwdriver on me all the time, so I'm set. LOL

umm i dont think its even much more. ok thro redcat rto trade in a vx to a sh is $50, the pipe is worth 25 and header worth 6. plus shipping on all that.tha will prolly add up to around 90 bux. besides its only 30 bux more for the s30. not much money for what your getting. the sh has alot more power to i dont know, that the way i think of it

The s30 is only 30 bucks more than the sv? Seriously? I had no idea. I'll have to look at that a little closer then. LoL I can't get anything else til it picks up at work anyway. Funds are getting tight around here. Maybe this summer though...

Yeah its new..... OS engine, Header n Pipe for Few$ more. Ive never run an OS engine but it should be a LOT more Peppy, based on my experience adding a header n Pipe n Motor Saver to my Stock VX...
