Just watch the sellers feedback that is the main thing, then add the shipping and what you think your going to win it for add it up compare it to your lhs. If it's used you have to ask how many tanks have been through it. Would suck to buy a truck thats had 4 or 5 gallons through even if it is cheaper by 100.00 than you lhs. I bought both mine on ebay but they were new.

u cant always rely on a persons feedback on ebay....say you buy something from someone...more times then not they arent going to leave you feedback when you pay for the item..they will wait till you give them feedback..ive bought several items off ebay and never once was feedback left for me until I left feedback for them..granted only had a couple problems out of all my purchases..left one person negative feedback on an item and he in return left negative feedback on me...sayed I was a very slow payer..I had to send my paypal reciept that was timed and dated within 10min of auction closing to ebay for them to take off the negative feedback of my account..

i have purchased a few used rc's from ebay and the buy and sell here on rcu, i will make sure i dont pay much cause most likely its going to need work or an engine. its worth it if you get it cheap enough and plan on doing some work to it.

I agree with Ehroof.
You need to get a Really good deal on a used RC to make it worth your while.
I see some OUTRAGEOUS prices on Ebay. Why anyone would pay 75% of what a New vehicle would cost Plus shipping is BEYOND me, but it happens all the time.

I bought an Lst2 off of ebay. A guy completely rebuilt it and came with a brand new motor, diff ,Rpm A-arms plus stock set, Duel exhaust. This thing was loaded. It came with all kinds of extra parts, plus the old motor with new piston and sleeve. New body plus old one. 1 brand new forward only trans plus stock trans with reverse. He easily had $900 in it or more.
He had to ship it in 2 boxes. All for $420 and $17.59 shipping, but he lived only 2 hrs from me.

If you look hard and do your homework you can find great deals on Ebay. Just make sure they have good feedback like more than 97% .

Anyway that's my 2cents.

Later Fong[8D]

I got my lightning vx on ebay to my door for $120 brand new..with a starter kit....since then the guy I got it from sells them buy it now only..lol...I've also put some used hurricanes on my watch...they went for the same money to buy a new one or more...just because the price is low with 1 or more days left on it doesnt make a good deal..ebay prices usually jump really fast in the last hour of the auction...

I just bought a new Savage X from ebay for 390 shipped. Also bought a slightly used Hotbodies Lightning gt10 with Magnum digital controller for 175 and it looks brand new. Started right up and really didnt have to tune much. So yes deals are out there. I may be putting the avalanche with the new sportwerks V2 on ebay to get another savage. Not sure about that yet. I like the truck too much.

I'm probably thinking that's a typo and he meant $420.00................but I could be wrong.

I buy and sell on ebay. You have to do your homework and ask the seller questions, A good seller will have no problems answering questions and sending pics. You need to make sure they are not to new to ebay and have a good feedback rating. I have purchased and sold thousands of dollars of items on ebay, was only unhappy twice. Once I did not receive the item ( pay pal refunded my money ). The second time the item discription was not accurate.
