crappy spur gears

Default crappy spur gears

does anybody know where i can get some aluminum spur gears for my bb tranny, these plastic gears, you have to be meshed exactly right or they will get stripped!

if I had a tornado I would go for the single speed..time after time I've read on hear that nobody makes aluim spur gears..and also read u wouldnt want them if they did..so far I've been lucky with my lightning but then again I havent ran it much..it being an on-roader may make a diff. too..

i have an idea that will get rid of the whole meshing the gears part all together, but im gonna patten pit first, the engine gears will be on the chassis all the time, But at the same time be separate from the engine.

You do not want alu. spur gears unless you have a slipper clutch... becouse if you take a jump and land hard some other things can brake... Get a new clutch bell... that is what is wrong...

after i upgraded to the hpi bells, i havent really stripped a gear on any of my redcats

the days of problem redcat aluim clutchbells are gone....you can order a redcat steel 2spd clutchbell from clermont , allaboutfunhobbies and rufaster..clermont prolly has a hpi if thats what you really want
