Darin , on the truggy, I would consider going with a smaller width tire. Like a normal 30 series. If they are like the monsoon they are a bit big for a little .18.
Just a thought.

Way ahead of you on that one. Though it runs great with the tires that are coming on them in the picture, I am considering going slightly smaller for a tad more power on the Maelstrom but I am going to wait to see how much difference it will make as these things are powered really well as they are.
Thanks for the input Dennis.

I have had a little hands on time with the Landslide and I can tell you that it is going to be a killer ride! It has tons of power with the slide carb SH18 and the transmission is geared perfectly for that engine.
I am looking forward to these coming out.

I think these will be good sellers. Are you getting them for testing or are they tested models already and just gunna hit the market when you get them Darin?

We have beat the crap out of them and to be honest I think they will overtake our 1/10 models in sales once they get into the market and people can see and touch them.
We received our sample units about 45 days ago and have been testing them for a while. I likey.

They do not have PBS. I don't see a need for that as they are not for racing. They are perfect for the weekend basher who wants to get out there and have a great time with a 1/8 scale.

I think they look great and shoud be very popular. Let's be honest, how many people are really racing their redcat's? Bashing is where it is at (at least with my customers) and these are going to be a blast to kick the you know what out of.
The Maelstrom body looks nice...I'll be putting one on my Monsoon along with that new black wing.
My only problem is deciding what to run next...my Tsunami seems to almost cry every time I take it out...little truck...big skate park, my Hurricane has some spanky new aluminum wheels that have yet to be used and oh, that 1/5th gasser should be here soon too! I think my wife is going to leave me if you keep introducing all of these new cars Darin!
PS, I had to look it up...A maelstrom (or malström/malstrøm in the scandinavian languages) is a very powerful whirlpool; a large, swirling body of water. Nice!

You don't actually improve the speed by changing the engine. You improve the speed by changing the gear ratio and adding things like tuned exhaust and exhaust manifold, changing the wheel size and so on. THe SH slide engine is a killer engine with plenty of power and torque. It runs superbly if broken in properly and taken care of.
