clutch bell question - monsoon
i have the stock clutch bell, but a picture of one can be found here - http://www.redcatracing.com/itemdeta...artno=8300811t
the piece just slips on and off the engine assembly, and inside i can see the bearings and a rod...how is this supposed to stay securely in place?
the only thing that keeps it from falling completely off is the gas tank, but if i remove the engine, i can just pull it off...if i push it on there real good, it will be semi-secure, but since it turns at a high rpm, shouldn't it be held in place by something more?

RE: clutch bell question - monsoon
there's a hex screw in the center, feels like it's attached to the flywheel, turns when the flywheel turns, but it doesn't hold the clutch bell in place...if i take the clutch bell off, it slides right over that hex screw

RE: clutch bell question - monsoon
how do i add a washer? i can't remove that screw while i hold the flywheel in place...it's either really tight or there's no way to remove it...if i go in through the back where the pull start is, i take out screws until i get to the piston, and i can't go any further...
do i need to clamp the flywheel in place and turn that screw as hard as i can to dislodge it?

Wow. That seems awful tight. My tsunami bell comes off with very little effort. I hold the fly wheel with one hand and hex key in the other.

sinfony.....
Here ya go Bro......
1st pic is the entire assy in a line (in order of disassembly.....)
Kinda small picture so I broke the assembly int TWO pictures for better resolution, which is Pic 2 and Pic 3.
Pic 4 points to the Nut that secures the flywheel. (sorry, I didnt feel like taking the clutch shoes off)

RE: clutch bell question - monsoon
yes sinfony, you are correct with the order you got. Sometimes you have to mess with the shims. Just make sure when you tighten the screw tight, the clutchbell still spins free.
