RE: Minnesota Hobby Shops
Ended up going to St. Cloud. Two of my friends bought RC's.
One is a XTM x-celerator and the other is a CEN Magnum NX.
Just finished breaking them in. Both are nice trucks.
Ran my Volcano. Pull start fell off. Luckily I found it.
Must've forgot to Lock tite.

It took all I had to keep these guys from giving it full throttle right out of the box.
The X-cellerator ran the best once we got it tuned. First time I ran it, I had it upside down.
Hit a big rock. Owner just laughed. It was running way too rich and the slipper clutch
was way too loose. Now we need to figure the steering out. Turns in way too big of a radius.
The CEN Magnum was the most fun. 4WD donuts in the dirt. Haven't got it tuned good yet.
Need to work out the two speed trans. Also, rear tire came unglued.
My Volcano was running good until the pullstart came off. Oh well, easy fix.

Hey rclynx, you don't have a biased opinion do you? No broken parts yet, but I'm sure I'll be lookin' for parts soon.
These guys are gonna be hard on their trucks.

RE: Minnesota Hobby Shops
tell them to invest in extra rear suspension arms. If he wants more kick out of his truck, upgrade to a losi spur (51 tooth). I did for my xcel.
The diff is the other issue with the truck, have extra differential parts handy, my .12 for it rips it up (its also a common problem with other users here on the forum, but I guess its not an issue for those that sell xtm's).
Might as well upgrade the rear hubs to aluminum, those are really fragile too.
Here is another big suggestion, remove every screw and get something better to replace the soft metal screws that come stock with the truck. Head to the hardware store and see if they have hex screws that can replace it. For some reason, they use SAE AND METRIC on that truck.

I am interested in helicopters and choppers. But they are expensive and difficult to fly with them.[link=http://www.treatmentcenters.org/minnesota]Minnesota Treatment Centers[/link]
