I never said they were HSP. Why would say they are HSP and link Himoto, strange. I said they in general reference to the link. The only difference between all these are the paint and graphics on the body. The bodies are the same and components are compatible with each other as long as there in the same class and size. Where the difference is, is the customer support and web pages. Personally I choose Redcat because the website was a lot easier than the others navigate at that time. Quality difference as far as I know there the same, just different aesthetically.

just to clarify what pede said....you mentioned the himoto viper xs2...these WILL NOT be on the same platform as a viper xs2...totally different...as Darin mentioned the short course trucks will share parts with the ultralites

I see what you mean Derek...I re-read what Darin posted that the vortex ss will share parts with the tornado bb....Pede was refering to Lee's post about the viper x2s and the mxb buggy...these are very different then the tornado bb...you were correct on that the aftershock will be on the ultralite platform..

Ya, its randy right? But ya the xs2 and the mbx are totally different than the tornado. The only reason i know about the corr trucks is cause im thinkin about converting my volcano epx to the vortex epx haha. Get the vortex body and maybe put the slash wheels on it, the wheels that come on it, like the tornado, will wear out too soon, but any other wheel will look weird, the slash tires look scale.

I'm waiting by the front gate with my boy for the Vortex to arrive.
he says to me Dad did you buy the Traxxas slash? I'm all no this will be better.
my Vortex arrived today Broken.
when I opened it the box said Volcano epx, I was like I didn't order the Volcano.
It was a Volcano box with a Vortex sticker.
The people who shipped it in Arizona put it in a bigger box with no newspaper no bubble wrap.
to compensate for the space.
My son to say the least was looking at me like thanks alot Dad.
Beware of Redcat Racing...
It was going to be a great day with my son but....... Thanks to Redcat Racing, It was awful

The body was torn from the passenger side fender across the hood almost to the otherside.
hood carter pins are bent. I'm sure everything else is ok but I don't know.
It's more my son being dissapointed and me taking off early from work.
I live in the sticks and would have to take off work drive 45 miles just to get to a UPS
to send it back.

I e-mailed last night and so far no response. I'm afraid to run it until the situation is handeled.
I don't want them to think I crashed it and trying to get a new body.
I was upset last night but now I'll just see what can be done.
You're right and I removed that part of my signature, Thanks

Well you were absolutly right Redcat racing, came to my aid above and beyond.
Not only are they sending me a new body their sending other things as well.
They felt bad about the situation and have been top notch. I wish I would have not gotten
so flustered. They told me until it arrives tape the body and go have fun,
this brushless 4wd is extremely fast I ran nimh 4600's and it flat out flew.
Thanks Redcat you now have a customer for life. and thanks chevyderek72 you were spot on with
you're advice.

Haha no problem dude, i told you, they are great guys over there. Man you should really get some vid if you can. Im debating on convering my redcat electric truck to either the buggy, or the vortex. But im undecided. Those trucks do look sick.
