RE: tuning troubles
what do you mean it runs like crap? need to be more decriptive, like. it cuts out at WOT or it's boggy lots of fuel pouring out or it's way to hot after it gets warmedup.

RE: tuning troubles
Yeah, I finally got my car tuned. You're running rich on your HSN. do a quick run, lean couple MM's to right. do another quick run and lean little more till you have an instant response. After that do a pinch test, if if revs up and quits after few seconds, then you got the right LSN. If doesnt rev up and quits, you got too much lean and rich it a little. If it takes too long to quit, then your rich and lean. LSN is very very small increments. Gas coming out of the tube is indication you're running Rich.

RE: tuning troubles
Put your hsn at 2.5-3 turns out, and your lsn flush, then tune from there. I reccomend getting a temp gun, its nice to know when your gettin hot.

RE: tuning troubles
Well its not needed, buts its nice cause i can check my temp, and say its running great, and my temps are 280, thats hot, and not good for it. So even though it may be runnin great, it might be too hot. I got a duratrax one for 25, nice to have.

RE: tuning troubles
Hello:
I basically have a similar problem as described above, I start the car and I accelerate and put the car on thefloor but when I try to run it it quits. I can't floor it with out the car quitting. I see a lot of smoke coming off the pipe. I di start from scratch and setted the hsn to close nad then gave it 21/2 to 3 turns. I have read and played the videos on the redcat website explaining how to tune, but so far nothing is working for me. I appreciate any help.

RE: tuning troubles
Well the hotter the temp outside is the leaner it needs to be, the colder is it outside the richer it needs to be. So you may be running a little rich, and thats why its stalliing. Try leaning it a little bit
