clutch shoe

hi,what's the best upgrade for clutch shoe? is it best to use a metal shoe? does it affect the performance of the engine once the shoe is upgraded?

ive only used the metal clutch shoes and they work great i have used atleast a 1/4 gallon and i havent had any problems
