RE: Sh .18 not working
1.) Did you charge your glow ignitor?
2.) Did you prime the engine by putting your finger over the stinger and pulling the cord a few times?
3.)Did you check your glow plug to make sure it's not burned out?
4.) Are over priming the engine and flooding it?

Not realy, there shouldn't be any bubbles. You need to make sure your fuel tank cap is closing tight and that there's no pin holes in the fuel line. You can check the cap pressure by taking the fuel line off at the exhaust end and blowing lightly into it while pinching or plugging the carb end and you should be able ot build up some amount of pressure before the tank cap pops up alittle.

Also check your needle settings. The factory usually has them set too rich to start. If you can't feel any compression when trying to pull the starter, then your one way bearing has fallen victim to the Traxxas fuel....

RE: Sh .18 not working
I have been using traxxas 20% top fuel and i have gone throughmore than agallon...with no problems at all with my owb. the only reason that i can see the fuel causing a problem with the owb is if the back plate behind the pull starter is leaking, causing oil / fuel to get to the owb.
the owb is totally sealed off from the engine by the back plate behind the pull starter. if the back plate is leaking, it will allow fuel to get onto the owb. if the back plate is leaking, the engine will run like crap or it won't run at all.
Just my opinion.

And besides even if the bearing is on the outside, oil will pass through the backplate even on anew engine. It is not 100% totally sealed. You would need a rubber seal for that.
I have ran small engines with the bearings on the outside of the crankcase and inside the crankcase and they suffer from the same thing, slip, slip. slip....
I get on here and tell my story and all I heard was change fuel, change fuel, change fuel.........So I did and haven't had a bearing slip since..
Now like you said, engines with the bearings on the outside are less prone to slipping, but from my experience, they will slip...
Please don't think I'm picking on you cause I'm not. I'm just letting you know of my experience with that fuel.
If that fuel works for you, stick with it. Cause you obviously have better luck with it than I did..

That's cause most people set there cars up wrong after use, when your using Traxxas fuel. You need to store it with the rear end raised so the little bit of excess fuel and oil left runs away from the OWB.

Ummmm.... do you have an SH18? If you do, have you pulled off your pull start lately? The one way bearing is not on the outside of the engine. The bearing is inside the crankcase where all of the fuel and oil is.

no, not at all...you are not picking on me.
no, i have the vx 18 which has the bearing on the outside.
i have had my pull starter off, and there is nosign of oil or fuel in that area or in / on the owb on my engine. if there is fuel / oil there, it's very little.
i had no idea that the owb was on the inside on the sh-18.

check to make sure all of the needles are set to factory settings, if they r, maybe try leanin the low speed a little bit, cause it sounds like you have everything else set up properly
