new redcat volcano EPX pro not working......
ok so i just got a new volcano EPXpro and the ESCis not working correctly. The car has ALOTof stuttering and reverse doesn't work very often and when it does it is VERYslow. I have tried 3 different AMsignals and a 2.4ghz radio and same thing so it is not an interference issue. Is there ANYway to reset and reprogram the ESC? and if not i am VERYVERYdissapointed in the elctronics from RedCat but the truck is awesome.

Well before you go bashing Redcats electronics you should ask about their support. I had a customer with a very similar problem to yours on a rockslide rs10 all he had to do was contact them, send the esc to them and they sent him a new one. Here is the contact information:

Ive noticed if your reverse isnt working, turn your throttle trim up till its barely not moving forward, then reverse will work.

RE: new redcat volcano EPX pro not working......
Brand new to hobby grade RC's. I had a couple of questions.
I have just received my Volcano EPX PRO, took the battery out, charged it for 9.5hrs like the "manual" says to do. Well, I understand the high pitched squeel when you hit the accelerater but the motor or drive shaft sounds horrible. Almost sounds as if something is loose or broken. I couldn't imagine that Iwould receivea bad truck straight out of the box but is this normal?
How do I properly break in the brushless motor?
Also, since I don't think that this truck is waterproof how would I go about driving in the snow?
Any help/advise given is greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

Brushless motors don't need broke in. Your problem is most likely gear mesh or something loose/binding in the drivetrain. Check for loose grub screws on the driveshafts. Make sure your pinion/spur mesh is set properly too.
