Default Redcat Dual Lipo Truggy

Ever been sitting around bored then looked over and seen a Backdraft 3.5 buggy and a Earthquake 8e truck and thought man I would like a dual lipo truggy? LOL! Well I did and here is the end result pure genius. The Backdraft, Aftershock and the Earthquake all use the same chassis so with a little bit of time you can convert from one to the other. If you own a Earthquake 8e the only parts you would need to buy to complete this conversion is a wing mount and a wing for the Backdraft 8e. Any questions just ask. Adding some other things I did to make this happen. I lowered the body posts in the front and rear. I swithced over all hubs from the Backdraft 3.5 to the Earthquake 8e since the Backdraft uses 17mm hubs and the Earthquake uses smaller plastic ones I believe they are 14mm. I had to cut a hole for the wing mount to come through the body since it is longer than the buggy body it may have weakened it some but once I put the wing on it covered the hole I cut and the wing sits low to the body so it keeps it secure. Also removed the stock wing off the Earthquake 8e body it's flimsy and after popping a few wheelies when it was still in stock form it was about to break off anyways. Speaking of which once the conversion was finished I took it out yesterday and no more wheelies this was my main concern that I did not want it to wheelie anymore so I can use it to race this season. Some advantages to doing this mod: You get a better wing that is independent of the body, wheelies are gone, control is much tighter, lower center of gravity, faster acceleration and the Earthquake comes stock with turnbuckles that go from the hub to the chassis adding even further durability and it comes stock with front and rear sway bars making this truggy track ready!

Pretty much the backdraft uses 17mm hexes and the earthquake 8e uses 14mm so had to switch those.

the backdraft stock tires and wheels are ugly same as stock wing, i only use mine for burnouts and i use my aftermarket tires for everything else.
they look sweet and hook up great
i replaced my wing to it was cheaper than a new stock and its integy.

i also  made a bunch of other changes

Once the weather warms up ya might want to cut a hole in the windshield to get some extra air on the head?!?! Also give ya access to the fuel tank (if it's on the sameside) for quick/easy refills.. Nice lookin buggy!

you remove the rear bumper and replace it with the backdraft 8e rollcag post set,
then your wing mount will attach to that then your wing goes right on
I converted my earthquake 8e into a backdraft 8e and love it.

(look at the rear shot and you will see the rollcage body posts)
