Default Sumo Truggy & Volcano EPX Pro questions

Okay, so I've snapped my rear hub carriers off on my Volcano EPX Pro(VEP) twice now and have just popped out my bearings from the hub carrier and transferred them over to the new ones. Would it be a wise decision to buy new bearings for all four wheels or keep using the old ones? I'm getting ready to upgrade to about 90% alumminum to cover the entire truck so will I need to change bearings since I will be using alumminum carriers? I see there are silicon sealed bearings for trucks but can't find them for my VEP. Anyone know where to buy any?
Second, my Sumo will be here soon and I was wondering if upgrading to bearings would be a good idea. One more question, in order to install the upgraded motor for the Sumo Truggy(180 which will be here on Thursday) do I need to solder it in or does it just screw in? If I need to solder it, where would I buy the tools to do so?

Thank you to everyone for their advise.

You can use the old bearings as long as they aren't broken, feel ruff or something of that nature.

The bearings will help your batteries last longer in the sumo. We haven't really noticed any unusual wear on ours and we are not running any bearings and we are running a brush less novak and a Mini T lipo in ours.

You will need to solder the new motor. You will cut or de-solder the wires from the old motor and solder them on to the new motor.

Soldering Iron.

Those are the things you will need to finish the job off.

I was looking at those on your site, but seem way expensive. I found an entire kit for $21.00 at a "Do It Best" store...
