Tigerhobby includes the starter kit (ignitor, fuel bottle, wrenches, etc. for free), other than that you really just need the fuel. I use 20% for break in. Buy new fuel, the stuff does goes bad over time due to things like condensation. But do pick up a glow plug or two while at the hobby shop. They have been known foul out due to the rich fuel mixture durring break in.

Charge your glow plug at the end of the day. Just like any other rechargable battery it is better to store it charged than dead. They will usually hold a charge for a day with no problem. Durring break in it will get used more due to the amount of times you will have to restart the car.

Don't mess with the carb screws straight out of the box. They should be set to factory settings. Tune it after break in. Be forwarned, It may die a few times durring break in. Just restart it.

Once it's tuned you shouldn't have to re-tune it unless it isn't running well.

As long as the engine isn't too hot you don't really have to wait. I believe 200-240 should be about right. old school method is the spit test. bassically spit or drip some water on the top of the head. It should start to sizzle and evaporate in 3 seconds or greater. Any faster than 3 seconds and you're probably running too hot.

After run oil, yes. Or WD40. After running the car remove the glow plug, add a few drops or after run oil or a spritz of WD40 and give the pull start a couple of yanks. This helps to prevent water condensation from building in the cylinder which can lead to corosion. WD40 is what I use. WD40 stands for Water Displacement Formula #40. It removes water and lubricates just fine.

Air filter, under normal conditions I would say about every 5th tank of fuel. Just clean it with dish detergent, something like Dawn. Let it dry and add some oil. WD40 should work for that too. Not too much, just a light application.

If it dies it is idling too low, if the wheels turn when you lift it up it is idling too high. It should sit in one place when idling.

lol. well i just figured that i wouldn't be able to take all that. so now im considering a gasser....but i still love me some electrics!!!!!

I have redcat Tsunami which they dont sell anymore it has the stock engine still on it.. 4 years old.. my very first nitro. I will never to back to electric. I am wanting another vehicle so i have been thinking electric just so i can mess around in the basement on crappy days doing donuts and stuff but i seem to always end up looking at the nitro's again since they are so much cooler
the engine has been the best so far at least compared to the traxxas trx

here is what i have done

broke the engine in
spend a hour to learn and tune it
maybe returned it once in the 4 years... but i always check the temp of the engine after the first 15 minutes of run time just to be sure it isnt running hot (i leave it so it runs rich.. bogs performance a little but not really noticeable except top end speed.

gas seems to last forever for me and the first year i had it out everyday i could

Best thing is you don't have to spend big bucks and buying tons of batteries to run all day and you can run nonstop all day if you want just pull up fuel and go every 5 to 10 minutes.

the reason i wont go back to electric is i love the sound it makes and it extremely fun..

so basically what i am getting at if you are just bashing for fun...not speed then one good rich tune will work all year around..at least for me
