RE: "OFFICIAL"Redcat Racing 1/10th BUGGY
I guess this thread is dead to bad its a nice first nitro.

RE: "OFFICIAL"Redcat Racing 1/10th BUGGY
most people start a new thread instead of using the old ones or the official one
|
RE: "OFFICIAL"Redcat Racing 1/10th BUGGY
yea they don't realize they get an answer faster in an official thread because of the subscriptions

RE: "OFFICIAL"Redcat Racing 1/10th BUGGY
I read the review on RCU about the Shockwave. It said you can get one for $99. Is that true? Where is the cheapest place to order one with or without a coupon code? I currently have Gasoline and Electric models but I am not to familiar with Nitros. If I cannot get the Red Cat for $99 I will likely just go with the CEN 1/16 Nitro MT or look into Smart Tech Nitros to get my start. Anyone have any suggestions or links and prices as to which one will give me less problems? Seems wearing out gears is common.

RE: "OFFICIAL"Redcat Racing 1/10th BUGGY
the shockwave was $99 but the price went up to $139 a month or so ago, its a great deal still, you may be able to find one cheaper if you look around.

RE: "OFFICIAL"Redcat Racing 1/10th BUGGY
hey i have a 1/10 scale redcat racing buggy and ive onnly put like 3/5 a gallon in it but ive lost compression...(pull on the cord and nothign happens...no sounds) it just wont turn over! y is this? wat can i do?[:@]
|
RE: "OFFICIAL"Redcat Racing 1/10th BUGGY
it could be your pull start
|
RE: "OFFICIAL"Redcat Racing 1/10th BUGGY
alright, thats what i was thinking but i didnt kno, and i was thinking about getting a new motor for it...what would be a good motor for it? I like something easy to work on and fats...i like fast!!!!!!!!!!:D
|
RE: "OFFICIAL"Redcat Racing 1/10th BUGGY
If there is compression when you turn it at the flywheel its probably a dirty one way bearing [&o]
|
RE: "OFFICIAL"Redcat Racing 1/10th BUGGY
is the cord really easy to pull? your oneway bearing may be bad.
|
RE: "OFFICIAL"Redcat Racing 1/10th BUGGY
ya it just pulls right up[:o] wen i pull on it nothing happens, and itll just come up...the motor wont turn over
|
RE: "OFFICIAL"Redcat Racing 1/10th BUGGY
you should take off the engine and then take off the back plate and see whats going on
|
RE: "OFFICIAL"Redcat Racing 1/10th BUGGY
take the one way bearing off, clean it with some carb cleaner and put it back, maybe scuff up the shaft with some steel wool.
|
RE: "OFFICIAL"Redcat Racing 1/10th BUGGY
alright ill see what i can do..also wen it did run i would never shift into second? why is that...is that the same reason? (this is why i have 3 electrics)
|
RE: "OFFICIAL"Redcat Racing 1/10th BUGGY
could be because the rpms werent high enough or you may need to adjust the shifter, if the engine was tuned good and you were able to get high rpm's then you probably need to adjust the shifter.
|
RE: "OFFICIAL"Redcat Racing 1/10th BUGGY
well its always different wen i use it... i live in new england so its always different weather and i always need to tune it differently
|
RE: "OFFICIAL"Redcat Racing 1/10th BUGGY
i know the feeling, i am in ny and the weather here is different every day.
|
RE: "OFFICIAL"Redcat Racing 1/10th BUGGY
exactly...like yesterday it was 50 out and now its snowing? thats just not right![sm=cry_smile.gif]

hey i havent been on this website in along time at least in this thread area about my cyclone car, but i bought a cyclone buggy off of ebay and i have taken it into a local rc track and was having it tuned and the guy that was doing the tuning needed a carb o-ring for it and a i think it was a throttle needle o-ring for it and he wasnt having any luck in locating one so i was woundering if anyone on here knew of a website that i can go to so i can order the parts he needs to finish fixing it, if i posted this in the wrong area please tell me where i can go to post it in the correct area thanks
