RE: noob to rc
It depends if you want on road or off road. If you want off road, I think most would agree that the volcano is a good starter.

RE: noob to rc
are there any specific valcano models i should get???
|
RE: noob to rc
also i live in Bradenton FL and was wondering if there are any tracks around?
|
RE: noob to rc
well it depends on you budget, how much do you want to spend?
|
RE: noob to rc
i was hopping to not spend over 250 so what do you recamend?
|
RE: noob to rc
I personally like the buggies better...I've always liked them low...they handle a lot better...but you don't have the ground clearance when you're bashing.

RE: noob to rc
Well if you dont want to spend more than $250 then you should get a Volcano SV at a minimum. If you are realling to spend around 270 then get the Volcano SV pro. It comes with a whole bunch of upgrades installed on it. 259 on www.Topspeedtoys.com. But then you would need to buy a starter kit and all that stuff too.

RE: noob to rc
what do you think of the tremor? oh and thanks.
|
RE: noob to rc
to small for the price rolls easy and dont have much of an engine
volcano sv or sv pro `would be the best to start out with |
RE: noob to rc
thats a little over my budget any other brands you might know of?
|
RE: noob to rc
well you said you didnt want to spend over 250 volcano stx is 159
volcano sv 179 sv pro 259 that is well withimn your budget from what you said earlier topspeedtoys.com here the link to trucks http://www.topspeedtoys.com/index.ph...0bafe0d557867f |
RE: noob to rc
Redcats are one of the most affordable brands in nitro RC, The volcano STX is still $160, but id spring an extra $20 the SV, because it's probably more durable (its the latest Volcano). Personally, Id go for the SV pro, cause its got alot of aluminium parts, but if your looking to not spend alot, definately the Volcano SV:)

RE: noob to rc
is the tornado sv single or two speeds?
|
RE: noob to rc
also why are the 1s on that website so much cheaper??
|
RE: noob to rc
Popo i was trying to figure that out myself, but i can assure you mark (Topspeedtoys) is a great buisness person and obviously has some great prices going on right now. If im not mistaken i think theyre having a sale. I would get the Volcano SV. Its not too expensive and its got a few more upgrades than does the Volcano STX. I personaly dont much like buggies for various reasons and think trucks are just all around much more fun.

RE: noob to rc

RE: noob to rc
