RE: Redcat Racing Volcano Thread
ok i need some more help here, when sitting in nuetral without applying the brake my wheels spin like crazy shouldnt they be "in nuetral"
any help would be greatly appreciated. also if anyone is from or around woodhaven michigan lets hook up,im riding by my self right now. |
RE: Redcat Racing Volcano Thread
Check that your trim is not set too high on your Radio also turn down the idle
|
RE: Redcat Racing Volcano Thread
if your idle is low and your car wont stay running, put it on some blocks, when you start it and it runs with the wheels spinning, and then you put it on the ground and the wheels stop and the engine cuts (this is with low good idle) then the clutch spring probably broke
|
RE: Redcat Racing Volcano Thread
do clucth springs usually break when brand new? and i will have to wait until wed or so,to test it out.i busted a lower control arm
|
RE: Redcat Racing Volcano Thread
sometimes they do, but if you get the traxxas higher stall spring it gets better take off, i would recommend it even if its not broken
|
RE: Redcat Racing Volcano Thread
cool i will have to get one then, and are they easy to install.i mean ive done a decent amount of work on real cars so this should be a breeze right...well maybe not a breeze but it cant be that hard
ps i searched for traxxas higher stall spring on ebay and cant find it,is it called something else maybe. |
RE: Redcat Racing Volcano Thread
4146X is the Traxxas part number. It's probably on the first page of this thread, too.
|
RE: Redcat Racing Volcano Thread
ok i found the part.do i need to install the clutch shoes with that as well.
|
RE: Redcat Racing Volcano Thread
you need to use the stock clutch shoes, or find some other ones that fit, i have seen some around somewhere. but the ones that come with the spring wont fit
|
RE: Redcat Racing Volcano Thread
gotcha. thanks alot for the help

The reason stuff breaks is driver mistakes, and incorrect maintenance, the more experienced you get the less stuff you break. |
RE: Redcat Racing Volcano Thread
anyone know if i could paint my exhaust pipe with that heat resistant spray paint, like the stuff you paint your grill with.
|
RE: Redcat Racing Volcano Thread
i bet you could, it shouldn't hurt anything
|
