RE: Redcat Racing Tornado Thread
you may be running too hot, what temps are you running.
|
RE: Redcat Racing Tornado Thread
i don't know... don't have a temp gun...[:o]
i could tap the cooling head for with my finger without burning myself. it was only runing for a tank before this started to happen... i guess i'l order a temp gun from clermont when i finaly order my other stuff;) |
RE: Redcat Racing Tornado Thread
you can do the spit test, put some spit on your finger, wipe the head, if it sizzles off right away or within a couple of seconds you too hot, if it just sits there you too cold, if it evaporates in like 3-5 seconds, your ok.

RE: Redcat Racing Tornado Thread
u know whats fun? rolling ur buggy in the grass. not like a hardcore rollover. just tipover. and the antenna breaks off and u drive like 10 feet away and start to nail it and it goes out of range like 10 feet away and rips down the road wide open and hits a curb bounces off and hits another one and sits wide open with the pipe off, but not moving cause the mesh changed because the chassis bent and u run to it from like 100 yards away and u reach in to crimp the fuel line and u touch the red hot clutch bell and burn ur finger pretty good. then go and buy $70 worth of parts just cause the antenna tube is to brittle. so beat. i wouldnt recomend trying it. so now im gonna invest in a failsafe. its so worth it. also if any one wants pretty good rims buy smartech rims. they took the full blow of the impact and didnt even crack. it just bent the chassis. i was surprised that nothing on the front end broke. redcat just needs to make a thicker chassis and it probubly would have rolled away. oh yeah it hit so hard the battery holder shattered. and the exhaust flew thru the plastic and made a nice hole in the plastic. the pipe was on so tight u couldnt even move it before i crashed. so yeah. atleast the parts arent crazy priced like other companies

RE: Redcat Racing Tornado Thread
ORIGINAL: p3t3v3x53 You can straighten the chassis-just take your time I blew the side off my new Tsunami and all I did was take plumbers goop ( that's the name of it) glued plastic inside the body and when that set up just put the goop on the outside of the body and painted it DOUG |
RE: Redcat Racing Tornado Thread
nice. iv straitened it before but some of the screw holes got messed up and the whole thing is bowed and im to lazy to do it so i just ordered a new one. it probubly weakens it to. i wish they made thicker ones.
|
RE: Redcat Racing Tornado Thread
What you could do is after you get your new one in, you can drill new holes in the old chaises and the new one and add the old chaises to the bottom of the new one:D then you would have twice the thickness.
|
RE: Redcat Racing Tornado Thread
Come on..... Thats nothing a hammer and a little super glue cant take care of.:)
|
RE: Redcat Racing Tornado Thread
thats a pretty good idea i wonder if the screws would be long enough
