|
RE: Redcat Racing Tornado Thread
yup///could be ur throttle trim too...set idle screw to 1 mm open by looking in the throat of the carb...high end needle should be around 2 1/2 and low should be flush.(approx 2 to 2 1/2...should get ya runnin and adjust from there....

ORIGINAL: will0983 anybody have problems with their muffler melting...i had to drill a hole through the baffle..it really barks now. what temp you runnin?...lol..hopefully ur getting exhaust to push the fuel to the carb after drilling |
RE: Redcat Racing Tornado Thread
the muffler is only plastic and it was about 240....cant seem to get it ower than that.
|
RE: Redcat Racing Tornado Thread
u must be talking about the peice that attahes the header to the muffler..guessing ur buggy is fairly new..I'm new to rc but I changed mine to aftermarket...seem to hold up better
|
RE: Redcat Racing Tornado Thread
yea my exhaust melted also
|
RE: Redcat Racing Tornado Thread
what temp gun do you guys recomend? Im thinking about getting one, I think it would come in handy, what do u have now and what would you have got if u had to get another one?
|
RE: Redcat Racing Tornado Thread
i bought a duratrax off ebay it was like 27 bucks
|
RE: Redcat Racing Tornado Thread
I just received hpi roto start and back plate (also battery and charger),glow plugs, fuel tubing, after run oil, air filter oil (1 case, they made an accident:D), and tie straps. So I charge up everything and started her up then i had problems keeping her running but anyways i got it running so i went for a run but I just couldn't get the gears to mesh properly so it resulted in me stripping the 1st gear.[:@]
so what exactly do i need? |
RE: Redcat Racing Tornado Thread
Save yourself lots of time and money and swap to the one speed set-up.. Won't go through gears near as often. And yes I know it's slower but it will save tons.
|
RE: Redcat Racing Tornado Thread
yeah i switched to the one speed and 13 tooth clutch bell because im gonna race it on a small track and it has crazy acceleration. i have a Snap-on brand temp gun and a cheap one and they both do the same, no difference
|
RE: Redcat Racing Tornado Thread
hmm...i think i might just have to switch to the 1 speed..anyways is there a kit that i can get with every thing i need?
|
RE: Redcat Racing Tornado Thread
Yes there is BUT I think everyone is out of them right now.

RE: Redcat Racing Tornado Thread

|
RE: Redcat Racing Tornado Thread
|
RE: Redcat Racing Tornado Thread
and which screws are the ones that hold the engine mounts to the chassis ?
|
RE: Redcat Racing Tornado Thread
My steering servo saver is worn out, probably because the bigger tires and lower gearing. Anyone know of one that works and holds up better?
