RE: Redcat Racing Tsunami Thread
That will work. Preaty much any HPI clutch bell will fit. Also you should know that the lower you go with teath on teh clutch bell the faster your take off will be but your top end speed will be less, basically the car will top out faster. The higher the teeth the more top speed you have but the slower the car will take off.
RE: Redcat Racing Tsunami Thread
with the thirteen tooth how fast do you think it will go?
RE: Redcat Racing Tsunami Thread
It'll go preaty darn fast, since the buggy is light weight and it halls butt stock. It's going to go faster persay, but with the 13 tooth it's gonna kick up some dirt taking off, but it will top out faster so your top speed will be lower, but your bottom take off speed will be considerably higher.

RE: Redcat Racing Tsunami Thread
ok thanks man i think im going to go with the 13 high speed where i am will just wreck it lol
RE: Redcat Racing Tsunami Thread
do you sell th hpi 13 tooth?

RE: Redcat Racing Tsunami Thread
rclynx has the 13 tooth clutch bell, i think clermontmotorsports does to.
RE: Redcat Racing Tsunami Thread
K i fanally got my truck in the mail and when i put the batteries in the truck it cooked my servos and reciever. Now what the hek should i do?
RE: Redcat Racing Tsunami Thread
call redcat bro, if its brand new and you just put the battery in it, then there must be a problem.
RE: Redcat Racing Tsunami Thread
i took a close look at the wiring and noticed that the plug between the battery pack and reciever was hooked up backwards the polarity was reversed. Whed i faxed it up and turned it on the servos were going crazy ans still heating up
RE: Redcat Racing Tsunami Thread
if it was plugged in the wrong way the reciever was probably fried.
RE: Redcat Racing Tsunami Thread
Once polarity is backwards it will fry. That stinks but Im sure they will take care of it. Dont lose hope as of yet.
RE: Redcat Racing Tsunami Thread
nice. i hope the ebay seller will replace the parts. i just dont want to ship the dam thing back lol
RE: Redcat Racing Tsunami Thread
how do you test servos? and i found a cheap traxxas radio with reciever can i put that in? (i just really really want to play lol)
RE: Redcat Racing Tsunami Thread
To tell you the truth the traxxas receiver and radio would be better anyways. If teh servos are twitching they still may be good. Its the receiver that will get most of the damage. Use the traxxas stuff and you just may be all good.
RE: Redcat Racing Tsunami Thread
the servos got hot because the reveiver was trying to make them go both ways at the same time. I tested the servos and there good. so if the radio is a 27.095 mgz can i use any reciever thats that fequency?
RE: Redcat Racing Tsunami Thread
you can use a 27mhz reciever and put the same crystal in it to match the transmitters crystal.
RE: Redcat Racing Tsunami Thread
is there any way that the crystal would get dammaged?
RE: Redcat Racing Tsunami Thread
its possible, if it gets wet, dropped or jarred hard.
RE: Redcat Racing Tsunami Thread
ok so its still good
RE: Redcat Racing Tsunami Thread
what are the crystals for?
RE: Redcat Racing Tsunami Thread
Crystals are the freak that directs the signal down the band............like if your on the 27 hrtz band the crystal (freak) would be 27.145 the freak or crystal being the 145 on the 27 hrtz band...........and if that don't explain it then ask someone young.............lol[&:]
RE: Redcat Racing Tsunami Thread
the crystal is what tells the antenna what frequency to send from the transmitter and for the reciever to recieve this way you wont mix with other frequencies, they need to be matched in order to work with each other. they are little silver chips with 2 prongs on them: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...=LXGUS4**&P=ML
