Default Help please.

Can some one please tell my why Im flying balsa planes????

At least if I suffer from flutter in a SPAD the whole plane does'nt fall apart....

Yep New birdy Model Tech Twister. Didnt do the stab upgrade kit as advised and it happened....Bring out the bucket!!! Bent the crank on the new 61 4 stroker as well.

my next bid is made out of balsa and has the 5cyl radial on it..Now im shaking!!!!

New/re thrashed SPAD comming up, Dismanted the big SPAD Bipe and going to use the top wing on a flying wing of some sort and will prob have twin 61s on it just to be diferent..

Balsa is  easy to work with, compared to Coro?

If you're really nervous about sending another plane up, then
send me your rc stuff and it should relieve you of
a lot of anxiety.

There, problem solved.

I have the same feeling you have.
I ususally don't get so nervous about things,
I guess I've had a battle to finish the plane and
now that I ran the motor it
is time to maiden.
I read a post on runryder where the writer
describes the "emotional debt" surrounding
a model that you have spent alot of
time building.
And I know that guys spend yyears building a plane
and iget very nervous about the maiden.
I didn't spend years on my spad, but it does
have some emotional debt involved.

Ive just spent the last 2 hours trying to get the OB glow working...There was no problem with it 3 weeks ago untill I removed it and fitted it to the radial..It was playing up onthe radial, It would only operate the glows at high stick movement...
Its just a HK RX switch driving a relay to power the glows, no mater what I did it would'nt reverse its state. Changed the RX switch with a NIB and still the same...
The only way I could do it was reprogram the TX so it now has 3 throtle channels, Each throtle servo has it own channel si I can sync the engines...

My little gripe..
Now its Raining again...Havent seen it rain like this before since late 80s..So I prob wont fly in the morrning

I spent more than an hour to get the motor started on the ultra spad stick,
and my arm and shoulder still feel like an elephant is sitting on it.
I can't imagine how to start a radial, i've been so shellshocked from
building mine , that some days I can't believe she is pretty much ready to maiden.
I still have to remember to loctite the prop bolt, and I'm happy I still have some loctitie blue
so I don't have to go out and buy more stuff.

The radial starts very easy. But I do you a electric starter as the prop is sharp.
