Ic to Electric SPAD
Hi Folks,
I just bought a correx SPAD on ebay. It's a 40" span, 2.5LB AUW and set up for a .32 IC engine.
Iplan to use an 1100kv motor with a 10 x 6 prop and 40A ESC (items I already have) I also have an 820kv motor I could use. I'm looking for thoughts and advice if anyone has any!

RE: Ic to Electric SPAD
Those are amazingly fun airplanes to fly. Electrifying one would be pretty neat.
I have done similar things myself. Here is a pic of a H.O.R. I electrified a couple of years ago. It uses a gear reduced inrunner motor so it can turn a 10x6 prop. The glow engine version uses a .15 engine that turns a 8x3 prop. I think it flies much better with the 10x6 prop and electric motor than it does with a glow engine.
