No it isn't. It isn't a day trip mind ya, but it isn't too far for a day out, play for three days and a day back. But I know it all adds up and we have different levels of acceptability. When I was playing RC combat or CL stunt I would get yelled at by a couple folks that said I never went anywhere. At the time anything over a 3 hour trip was too much of a fuel cost alone, even when sharing.
Think about it. The more the merrier.

There is a Small event that looks like it may be fun too. It looks like 14 hours non stop. Our dollar just tanked too which doesn't help. 30% more makes a bit of difference when other factors are affecting the decision. The Nat's are good too. HMMMMMM retirement is good.

Welcome aboard. The Deb flys good with a 46 on it. The 61 Pro will be plenty. Don't forget to throttle back once in a while. I always thought the wing was a bit far back on the Deb but with the weight of a 60 on the front you've fixed that problem, the extra nose weight will necessitate bringing the wing forward a bit. Do check your CG. I like to suspend my airplane by making a big loop out of heavy cord. My fav lately has been the high vis red or green that you get out of the boating section of Walmart or likewise stores. It's slightly stiff so it doesn't tangle as bad. Make a big loop of that so that you can go around the wing, up to a suspension point in the ceiling ( I have exposed rafters and use a nail in one of them) and then down to the other wing. Hang the plane so that it is level. If it wants to pitch forward you can always put the cord around the fuse OR around the backl of the wing on one side and up to the opposite side front of the propeller, reversing for the other side. Generally that will make it so you can hang the plane level and stable. Then, hang a plumb bob from the same suspension point that the cord is hanging from. Since you've made a plumb bob from the plane and are hanging another one above it and the center of mass of both are in a line from the suspension point to the center of the earth, the plumb bob will point to the CG of the airplane. Adjust your wing as necessary so that the place where the plans indicate the CG should be (the forward spar) is where the plumb bob points too.

Thanks, throttling back is no problem, wanted enough power to get off the ground and climb out quickly if needed. I have also converted it to a tail dragger and moved the vertical stab to the center of the fuse. Will have to keep the wing back a little due to my large fuel tank to get some flight time out of it.
