Default sign vinyl adhesive questions

I hear lots of mention of "sign vinyl" in the various SPAD forums for trim colors. I have never seen any yet. there is a small sign shop in a neighboring town that I plan to visit shortly to inquire about some for trim colors for my Spadet. my questions are ,....1) is the adhesive on all sign vinyl fuel proof, or do you have to do something, to keep the edges from lifting and/or making a gooey mess on your plane ?. 2) if not all sign vinyl adhesives are fuel proof, is there a brand that is and which brand name do I look for ?.
I,ve had the unpleasant experience of having to clean the goo off of my son's methanol burning racing kart, when we used some self-adhesive vinyl to make trim for it and it was not fun. I don't want to do that again.
thanks in advance, a lot of my questions are elementary, because I am new to SPAD flying and reintroducing myself to r/c after about 40 years away.

All the sign vinyl I've ever used has been fuel proof. I use it not only on SPAD's but to patch holes in Monocote and recovering major breaks in my "Frankenplanes". I stick it down then hit it lightly with my head gun, rub it with my fingers, and it's there forever.

Same here, used a bunch of random off-cuts, drops and roll ends from a local sign shop for my spads. Never had an issue other than the general use and abuse of flying taking it's toll on the adhesive.
