Preliminary Gas SPAD Pics
Hello all,
Here are a couple of pics of what I have done so far. The CG issue seems to....well...not be an issue. The CG is about on as is without the radio gear installed. This gives me a ton of flexibility to get the CG right on.
Comments/criticism welcome!

I used to have a set of planes to make your own electronic ignition, from turning your own coils, right up making you own PIC board, programs running on a 4.8 – 7.2 volts.
I think I must really have a look and try to find it again, I never used it as it was twice as heavy as a commercial one, but its half the weight of a magneto setup. And you can move the weight of the battery as the magneto’s weight is right upfront

Silly me,
Please look hard, I would be very interested in this info. I have a lot of gassers and in the true spad form not willing to pay in excess of 100.00 for a C&H ignition.

i reckon that a nice lightweight aftermarket motorcycle ignition like the dyna-s might be the answer, they are very simple and cheap.
