Default Dominator wing - do you have to pre-bend spar lines?

Hi - I am building a dominator wing and in the instructions it recommends you prebend the upper spar lines in the wing 90 degrees. I thought that if I do not do this I will get a nice smooth wing.

Do you guys recommend I prebend the spar lines or just leave them so I get a smooth wing?

Hope I get some replies soon - as this is the next thing I have to do on my plane.,

Thanks

P.

I personally never score at the spar because I prefer a smooth foil on the top of the wing. I hink I also read somewhere that scoring the wing produces a sharp type of surface that can cause air flow disruption.

Anyway, for a flat bottom, or nearly flat bottom, wing I just put the spar in fold the top over at the leading edge and glue it up at the trailing edge. That's how I did my first and only dominator.

Hope this helps,

cool - that is what i am doing too.. Is it right that you only glue the base of the spar and not the top of it? I.e. it is glue to the bottom sheet but not the top sheet? I hope so cos that is how I am doing it...

I am really excited about getting this spad up. I hope it works out good.. It feels like it is going to be quite heavy...

the spar should be glued to the top and bottom wing halves.
