Cub repair.
Hi Guys. 3 weeks ago I crashed my Balsa 1.8m cub on short finals when the cheap RX switch failed. The plane had a smashed nose and cockpit and the mid section. I glued most of her back but there were a few bits missing...Itwas going to be very fiddly to make new sections.....
So I got out the 3mm corro and wraped the nose......She is stronger than before...And a performer..Did a water landing (ocean) with a dead stick was a bit wet fired the engine back up (TT91 4s) every thing still worked so went flying..Abit tail heavy untill the water drained out...This thing you take off just above idle due to the torque roll, go WOT and she will vertical climb unlimmited......[>:]
Who said the two dont mix???

RE: Cub repair.
Our flying field out of town is now dried out only to have some idiots use it as a burnout/skid pan...Just spent the last 3 arvos grading it flat..
I realy dont like flying at the beach to many idiots come and park next to you or stand in the way.....

RE: Cub repair.
I know this is an old post I am replying to, but..... what kind of Cub is that? I have one that appears to be just like that except it is covered in blue and white. When people ask me what kind it is all I can say is 'its a Cub". I was told it might be a Hangar 9 but i don't really know. Its a good one what ever it is.
