Default Debonair wing with no dihedrial

I built and flew a deb wing with no dihedrial , some told me it would fly more like a cub.It only flys at 1/2 th throttle or better.I throttled back and it fell out of the sky. It was kind of hard to explain because it wasn't like any stall I have ever seen.I have only flown a few planes but I am a self taught pilot.Got 5 destroyed balsa planes hangin on my wall to prove it before I found spads . Anyone know why she fell from the sky?

whats the airfoil look like? Did you use one spar or two?

Removing the dihedral won't have any effect on the stall speed, it should, if anything decrease it. If you used a single spar, with a single crease at the top, there's the problem. If not, maybe the cg is way off?

It should work fine, when i put a flat wing on a Deb it flew like a big stick but with a much better glide angle.

it sounds like a realy bad tip stall, as chris said how's the aerofoil and CG?

also host the AOA on the horizontal stab and wing

I made it exactly like the deb plans called for just took the dihedrial out of the wing,I balanced it on the spar it flew perfect as long as it was half throttle or better but when I backed off it almost fell totally from the sky until it had enuff speed up to fly ,I pulled up full elevator just before touchdown...still wasn't a smooth flight but it didn't do any damage...except I had to walk a 1/4 mile to retrive it.

Also, what is the advantage of a 4 stroke over a 2 stroke?

you got me. Try putting the deb wing with dihedral back on, and see if the problem goes away. To me, from what i've heard, it sounds really noseheavy.
What engine are you using, and how did it act with the dihedral wing?
