Ways to bond wings together
Hey have any of you guys tried using the 3M body side molding tapes from the auto isle at wal-mart? I work at a plant that makes body side molding parts and we throw away short rolls of it so I took some home and made a new debonair wing,Man this stuff is absolutely the tuffest way to put wings together.I don't think the stuff cost's that much.Just thought I'd let you guys know what I discovered.

Yep, some of the guys have used tuc tape which is the same thing for carpet laying.
it's also used to hold servos in with the help of a zip tie.

i use the 1" wide 3m stuff instead of the foam tape when i ziptie and tape a servo in place. I haven't tried it for a wing, though. I prefer to have them glued together.
I think Splash builds his wings with tape though, so it should work fine. That outdoor tape is some tough stuff. About 3.00 a roll, but don't ask me how much is on the roll.
