QHOR w/OS46FX??
I have a great flying QHOR powered by a fp40. I pulled the 46 off my TOPCAP and now wondering about balance. Has anybody had to add weight(ouch) to the tail to achieve the fold balance point? Thanks Dan
I see some engines bigger than the 46 how well do the float??

QHOR w/OS46FX??
my.75 qhor floats AWESOME.
I have a BB40 on my QHOR and its a powerhouse, I have tried the FP40 and LA46, there is NO comparasin with the BB motor. The bushing motors barely hover a 30" wing, the BB motor hovers at half throttle or less. Move the wing all the way forward and move the servo's back, simple to balance. On my .75 I did add a bit of weight, but I think I could re-arrange it so I wouldnt have to.

Ya moved my wing foreward and it did the trick. It hovered my top cap at half throtle I cant wait to try it on the QHOR. Should be fun. Need to work on tail touches. THis should do the trick.

wow
It was awesome. Felt like a totally different plane.
Hovering was different, Wanted to flip over and did. But you were right, tail touches all around. This is the way to go. These are so much more fun this way. Thanks again Dan

Yep
I have a saito 72 on my QHOR and i to have the wing all the way forward for balance.
When hovering if i get it straight up and down instead of a small forward angle she likes to flop over on its back and fast to.
Any one know why that is?

Flip
I think that it is just to short. If it was like 42" I think this would be less of a problem. My next one will be longer for sure. Should help some. I cant fly mine enough. Now w/a 46fx tower pipe and a 12.25x3.75 it hovers a quarter throttle. TO MUCH FUN!!!!

:-)
This is no joke and im not exagerating (i think thats how it's spelled)
With the Saito 72, it hovers 4 -5 clicks above idle with a 13x6 APC. Incredible. I think you might be right on making it longer. Right now my boom is 35" long, the next one will be longer.

If it wants to flip over then shim the back of the engine to get a little down thrust.
Wait a minute, we're flying SPADS here. Put the fuse in a vice and bend some down thrust into it!
My OS 65LA powered QHOR just floats along at a few clicks of power in high alpha. This thing is a Harrier machine!
