Gentleman,

Just checking in to this forum as I like to make sure each forum is running well. Has everyone been satisfied with the moderating here? Do you guys think it is under-moderated, over-moderated or just right? Also if you have any comments or suggestions for this forum or RCU in general please let me know in this thread.

SPAD on!

I haven't seen any problems. Everyone is generally courteous, helpful and well behaved.

RC Universe is great. Magazines used to be the only means by which a modeler could read new ideas but they only come out once a month and are usually read in a day. Here there is always something new and interesting every day.

I think our moderator does a good job of policing this group. My only complaint stems from your policy of zero tolerance on profanity. I'm not saying we should be able to post anything we want but there are some words that are considered profanity here that are used on TV everyday. I also understand that we are censoring our speech for the benefit of the children who may be reading our posts but just how young are these children. I have seen very few posts from children under 12 and if these kids go to public school they learned these words long ago (probably from there parents).

Sometimes when you are trying to make a point or express emotion the best words just happen to have four letters in them (not that I think all 4 letter words are acceptable here).

One again I don't think our moderators are overzealous about this I think they are enforcing the rules as they see them unfortunately they have 20/20 vision.

Everything is awesome here and I can't thank RCU enough for adding Spad to their list of topics! I would also like to add that I track web statistics at spadtothebone.com and this forum is the #2 referer to the web site. 26% of all the new visiters (7,350 people) on spadtothebone last month found out about Spads through RCU and for that I thank you!!!

I think the word "balsa" should not be allowed on this forum.

Just my opinion....

Tatoo...your quite welcome and thank you for contributing to RCU and helping out other spadders here in our forums. I only wish I added a spad forum earlier. I had no idea how popular these things really were!!!!

Jagdgeschwader - Should I put in the SPAD forum description "A balsa free environment!"?

Crash, come over here!! I'm going to wash your keyboard out with soap!

Now go to your room!

Don't let me EVER catch you using that word again, young man!!!

Sound familiar????

Thank heavens for mothers!!

If it weren't for my Mom, I probably woulda gotten hooked on b-stuff and would have become a b-word derelict - doing all kinds of illegal things just to get my fix on b-stuff.

Anybody got some coro they can spare me??? Please???

Well banning the "B****" word may be a good idea, but I personally feel that the "F***" word should be allowed. After all FREE is such a lovely word to hear

You mean there are other forums? Where could you possibly need to go after the SPAD forum, other than to the field? This forum is great. Thanks to all that make it what it is.

Great forum and a great attitude from all involved.

I personally have sent numerous people to the site from "outside" as well as "inside" the hobby (or should I say addiction) that want to know more.

Many have gone to www.spadtothebone and downloaded plans, built them, and are truly excited about it.

You just gotta love a $10.00 plane that flies great and generates more interest at the field than most of the other big $$$$ planes.

Who knew PVC and coroplast (and aluminum, and bamboo skewers, and....) could be so much fun???

I think Chris and the other mods do an outstanding job. If it wasent for RCU I would never have found out about spads and I would never have met such a great bunch of guys.

Great job Marc and to all that fill this forum with top notch information...
