Default Foam Board?

Hey there,

I am new to spad but have been looking at spad designs for awhile. Would foam board work as well? I only have foam board in the garage atm (haven't found any coro in town yet) and was thinking about giving it a shot. Thanks in advance.

Eric

Eric, foamboard is a good choice do give it a chance......it has the added benefit over coro that almost any glue is usable. My favoutite method is to assemble with white glue and paper strips...very light and strong. See pic of my 15 year old delta still going strong......based on foamboard and some cardboard. One disadvantage with foamboard is that sheets are seldom completely flat but used wisely you can use the slight curvature to your benefit....Good luck Eric...Cheers/Harald

Some guys soak the foam board in the bath tub to get the paper layers off and get down to the raw foam to work with.
