Can someone post a link to how to make a mousse can muffler. I remember seeing it here a while back. I did a search for it, but came up empty.
Thanks

RE: mousse can muffler
Thanks guys ... I thought I remembered seeing it on Spadtothebone, but that was a couple years ago, and it looks like they've redone the site since ...

RE: mousse can muffler
A mousse can is a home built tuned pipe/muffler.

RE: mousse can muffler
Interesting reading. Well kinda. So how do you tune a mousse can? There's no header pipe to cut off to try different settings. Do you just slap it on there and take whatever extra it gives you?

Go here to learn more about Mousse Can Mufflers: http://www.swanyshouse.com/moussecan/mcm.html
These MCM/MCP setups can produce the substantial power boost of a real tuned pipe at a fraction of the cost.
Unlike a real tuned pipe, MCMs/MCPs don't require critical tuning of the header length. And unlike real tuned pipes, MCMs/MCPs produce the power boost over a much wider RPM range, resulting in a much smoother throttle response. The smoother throttle response is why MCMs/MCPs are preferred over tuned pipes for 3D flying. And the sustantially lower cost is why MCMs/MCPs are preferred over tuned pipes for everything else, except for all out speed competition.

Go to www.flyingzhobbies.com and check under "special products". They sell a mcm that can't be beat, and the price is right too.
