YIKES!!! Crashed by DPS today

I built a DPS as a combat plane with a Thundertiger pro 46. I was a rocket ship and performed beautifully. On my second pass arount the field today I had no ron control and she went down. I found the gears in the ron servo (Hitec HS635HB) stripped. All I can figure is that flutter must have done me in.

Do you guys usually use metal gear servos?

any suggestions to prevent this from happening again?

Did you taper the ailerons near the wingtips?

I've got standard servos in my wing, but I do have two of them and I have wingtips on mine to get that vortex away from the ailerons. I also have a TT 46 on mine and it does go like stink, even with only an 11x5 on it.

All I have ever used are standard ball bearing servos. Futaba 3004's and Hitec HS425's.
I have built seven DPS's, three 40 sized, two 60 sized, one with a Roybi 31 gasser and a 40 size twin.
I learned about tapering the ailerons on the SPAD site and have never had a problem with flutter.

I don't even use the BB servos.
