Racing Over seas
I stumbled across a video on ***tube and it was a racing video. You guys gotta check this out. If this video was from the states I probably wouldnt post it for fear that negative publicity to American racing is not needed. But it appears to be over seas some where and you can watch and figure that out for yourself.
What made me laugh, with tongue in cheek cause some of the happenings are so bizzare, was when:
The street (thats right a road was their runway) was loaded with guys flying anything from Miss Marie to Shrike with no real order to what they were doing.
The guys are lined up in front of each other, all on the road, engines running waiting to take off. One goe loses control of his P51 and runs to catch it. Another cant seem to get the jet straight and has to abort the take off only to jump back in line when I am sure another plane was readying to launch.
Then a car who is on that road, drives right thru there little gathering place. The car I am sure is not part of the organized group, but just its way to get some groceries or something from the local market.
It then appears they all get airborne, and by all I mean like 7-10 planes.
Notice, no set backs, no hard hats no nothing. Just a "run what ya brung" type event.
Then another car passes thru, from the pilots station, yes it seems they stood on west bound lane and raced over the east bound lane.
Just makes me so glad for our safety minded events.
All I can say is wow!!
But in their defense I do believe they had a traffic spotter, not a pilot spotter but a guy designated to make sure the pilots, all 10 of them dont get run over.
Crazy.
