Tons of test flying done by most of the racers and all I can say is "wow". These unlimiteds are fast. This is going to be a race that allows many racers to have a chance to be on top. So many fast planes. Ths Sportsman class has taken off with a boom with over a dozen entries. Fantastic job to the board for bringing this new class to the table.
Lets hope for safe flying tomorrow and superb weather.

Wow what a weekend! First I want to say thank you to all of you, I had a blast announcing for you guys. That was some of the best racing I've seen. The event went smooth with only a couple of crashes.... Thank you again and I would love to be back announcing for you all!
I posted the formula 1 pro gold and unlimited gold on youtube, but can't post the url here. So you can look it up under my name MrJoeDonkey on youtube.

lownverted, we knew the winds were coming so we went for 6 rounds (one more than required) and hurried to get the trophy rounds done before the weather came in. And it did blow like crazy. We normally run a round on Sunday and then trophies, but these planes are too expensive to risk damaging so we opted to just do trophies. Sorry we couldnt do more but it was in the best interest of the planes and pilots and safety to all.

Not enough. Only one warbird showed and never flew. So we had all sundowners (2) run in sportsman as well.
Sportsman Class was awesome.
In one heat there was
Sundowner with YS175
GR7 with a GT80
Stiletto unlimited with a DA150
Christian Eagle Biplane with a GT80
Ole Tiger with a DLE110
It was a colorful class with many different planes flying.

No worries. I had a great time, met some old friends and enjoyed the racing. I hadn't seen any USRA racing for at least 25 tears back in the Madera days. Good stuff!

The Miss Ashley II is an Unlimited-class airframe, it competes with the Stiletto. Both are around 25% scale, and require retracts.
I'm not sure there's a Nemesis available other than building from the Hostetler plans. It would require some mods to be competitive.

I build the Ashley and GR-7. The Kelly molds are MIA as far as I know. Other F1 airframes available would be the Video Cassutt from PMB and I think most if not all the Rankin F1 airplanes are available. RnR has Pole Cat molds also.
Bear in mind that these are all custom built to order, you're not likely to find anything on the shelf.

I probably could have made it happen, but money was tight, my caller had to work, and the saddle broke so I threw in the towel. I put 5 tanks through it all went good untill i took out the light.
