just recover that one. Save you some money and will last longer since the WM covering comes off in the first flight. Just order a new cowl and be good to go.

Yeah I like 4, 5 was too many but 3 isn't enough. At the same time I can't complain since I'm not CD'ing... That sucks about the Kansas deal.. I'm sure you were looking forward to that! It's so stupid I had all this time between races and now I'm in rush mode trying to get my plane ready... I guess that's the way it's always going to be... Wait till the last minute.

That's how it has been with me each race for the last 6 years! So, true-to-form, I just got mine pretty much finished-up tonight. Will try to break-in the engine, and perhaps maiden it, in the morning.

I have found with most racers that if it wasnt for the "last minute" they would never get things done.

Marty, I always imagined your garage full of turn key race planes. Have I been wrong all this time?

Its a big garage so "full" would be hard to accomplish.

Looks good, Jeff. Is Gary saving it for July's Miller Time race, or are you two planning on taking it up to Redding?

That is his back up plane for both races. I had a old Dago sitting around so we stripped it and cleaned it up. YS 91 for power so hope its fast enough for silver. I think a 12.5x12.5 on 35% will be close but we will see. will fly it today.

Heading to redding in the morning around 8.

Had issues with broke gear blocks on Tuesday, so had to postpone the maiden flight. (Stupid ARFs - that's why I prefer to scratch-build!) The SAM was field closed Wednesday for maintenance. So finally was able to successfully maiden the Bf109 today. Got two flights on it without issue. So, I'm already starting out better than the last time I went up to Redding!

Sergio, JR, Kimo, and I are leaving about 7:15am tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing you and Trixie there!

I tried to get the first flight in today but couldnt get the 91 to fire up. not pumping fuel to the carb. T-6 first flight went well although to fast for bronze i think but will see tomorrow. Tsunami gold racer flew but again having problems with the DZ 70, still going rich with negative G's. about fed up with that engine. P40 bronze plane flew well as I have it slowed down now also. Should be real close to not breaking out. Going to run all three classes

Sweet!!! I'm going to thank Robert personally tomorrow when I order some props. I also want to thank JR. Without his countless hours invested these events just simply would not happen to the level that they do. I have been competing flying R/C for well over 30 years and nobody organizes an event like JR. WAY TO GO BUDDY!
