Ollie,
As much as I'd love to make the BK, I am Turkey Hunting that weekend. Besides it is an extremely longggggg drive for a one dayer'
My schedule is so busy this year, it looks like the only race I can make will hopefully be the YS/Trashman, and that is a maybe still.
Im hoping for the Redding Race as well, but my work schedule may keep me in AZ up into June
I sure wish I lived closer - you guys and your passion for racing is wht draws me there.

Sorry you can't make it, Marty. I thought I'd ensure that you at least felt warmly invited.
I completely understand your reluctance to make the drive for a one-day event. That is exactly why I proposed and requested my VALLEY OF SPEED race as a 2-day event, as well, with the idea being that we'd see more of the out-of-towners be able to come for that one, too. However our board did not approve that request.
I really hope you'll be able to make the Redding and YS/Trashman races -- you are a part of "the family" now, and we love having you with us. Hopefully we'll hear those dates can firm-up to more than a "solid maybe."

Yes Ollie I feel as a member of the family. You guys have always made me feel welcome. I would love it if you guys could make it to an RCPRO race once and meet these guys as well. Great group of racers just as passionate about the sport of pylon. They ust added the Kingman, Az race back to the schedule so there is now 9 races for people to choose from.

Plane is under 7 lbs (again) and hopefully will be as fast if not faster than my stiletto, which is also under 7 lbs. No esc for me, at least until YS comes out with an elc set up.
I hear ya Dave on those nylon arms. I have seen them only good for a few years and then time to change them out, much like an on/off switch.

Actually the Spitfire I'm referring to never raced at SAMs. I took it to a Red Barron's race when we first had the 1:30 BO. This plane was a scratch built unit with a wing designed by a professor at an aeronautics institute. The guy that built it also had a high pressure mist unit to cool the cylinder head . This thing was scary fast. Dumbass nylon arm broke on the elevator. Sure wish I still had that plane today.

Dave,
I was there that day and flying a Spitfire with a YS.91 in it. We put some really nasty fuel to it that day (thanks Vman - RIP) and the motor was really barking for the last heat of the day. The plane and motor survived the day with a 1st place, but the next time I tried to run the motor it basically said enough is enough and had to be totally rebuilt. Hard to believe how long ago that was. I know we are faster now, but I was so new to racing back then that it was a real rush.
