Everyone should fly a glider at some point, really teaches you energy management. It's been too long for me and I need to get another one and brush up, I've lost most of the skill set.

I do not have much experience with gliders..... what size fuel tank do you use in yours Speed..... Oh never mind, I'll figure it out. For now I will stick to my Warbirds since that is pretty much a guarantee of a win when I face you. LOL.

Went to an RCPRO race today in Tucson, but the winds blew us out.
I did get 2 flights yesterday on my new Vendetta however.
Its kinda fast..................
on 30%
with a fat needle
in 30 mph winds

Umm, it should do all right
Kinda excited to race it.

Hey Marty, I only see 3 classes: Bronze, Silver and Gold. I guess the Platinum thing is not going to happen? Sorry to see that but understand it prolly wasn't your fault.

Dave,
It will happen just not this year. My intentions for this first race was to stick to the original 3 classes.
The platinum class is a bit down the road. I am still looking over the rules to determine what is best for the warbird type of racing. Things like: Engine type, wing size, building material restrictions, prop restrictions, course layout, etc. I am not saying these things would change or have restrictions, and Im not saying they wont either. Just trying to gather intel and go forward to best promote racing w/o robbing the other classes or the vendors that helped us get where we are.
I just dont have the time this year to pursue it.
I need to discuss with AMA to get their safety minimums and see if clubs will allow etc.

Im hoping for a trial run next season. But for this year Im just wanting to launch this event and have a super venue.

Actually there will be 3 tech inspectors, so any plane other than a Macchi is good to go!!

Macchi's automatically pass tech. Stilettos will be carefully scrutinized. Others are negotiable.
