Marty, I will send my caller over to have a chat with you about our pit area. In fact if memory serves me correctly last time I raced in Fresno I won 7 heats in a row. Finished the day first in unlimitd and top qualifier in both unlimited and .46 mod. Seems to me I can pit wherever I want.

I remember my first trip Sac to race with the renown No Cal group. I was car pooling with Richard and we pulled up to a stop light and in the car next to us was This goofy looking guy with all smiles. Sitting next to him was an enthusiastic lady waving excitingly. Richard says that is another racer. We get to the event and start unloading equipment and guess who comes over and is the first to be friendly to me? Yep the Italian plane pilot. You harassed me a bit in good humor so I have always felt like we ever be jabbing each other. I appreciated your reaching out to me as a new pilot Shawn and hope you know I just feel a special freedom harassing you back.

Sounds like you can make the trip over to the safe side of the pit area, as I dont want to have deal with any ones "caller".

All I am working with Robert and might come out with a new prop. looking at a 13x16 regular blade prop. Question since this maybe a one off race Robert wants to know how many might be interested in this prop? On my vendetta I did a two way average of 196.4 with a 210 mph down wind. This was on a 12x16 Carbon prop and 40% nitro.

Interested? NO! Committed? YES! Hell, I want one just to hang on a wall if nothing else! So, please count me in for at least one!

OH YEAH BABE!!! This event will be worth the trip just to witness these obviously crazed, insane, lunatic pilots going for broke in the Dash-For-Cash on Sunday! The camaraderie will be a delightful bonus, of course.

THANK YOU TO ALL CD'S, CLUBS, & ESPECIALLY CLUB MEMBERS FOR DONATING THEIR TIME/EFFORT IN PUTTING THESE THINGS ON!!!

I would think there would be 20 pilots interested in this prop, dont know if that will justify the molds though. Put me down for a couple for sure. With our new set up I was hoping for 190 mph. But my confidence is now up around 215 MPH. Thx Jeff for doing this and hopefully Robert will green light it. If not, we will be cutting, baking, twisting and sanding...........

What is incredible is our unlimited racers in USRA are an average of 235 MPH and top speed of 259 MPH. These are with DA170's on glow and lots of $$$$$$.
It is awesome to see a little plane in the 200's with a four stroke no less. All I can say id wow.

By the way I saw our Warbird Champ race in the MA mag in the back under sanctioned races and events part. Entries are coming in more frequently. Remember we are cutting this off at 70 entries, so get those papers into me.

We will be using a wing color format for plane identification. High green, low green, High red, low red.
If you are worried about your covering purchase some low tac shelf paper as a base substrate to mount to wing first then your color on top and bottom of wing.

All I am planning a night race on Saturday night. I am looking at park zone type foam planes. You add what ever LEDs you need. I will make up some LED pylons for us. I think most of us have some T-28s just sitting around so why not race them at nigh?

I am wondering how many will be interested in this.

Keep in mind we will be having the dinner Sat night so no one will have to leave and come back. We are trying to gear this entire day to be one where we all hang out and fiercely compete and then enjoy each others company. We are combining the 3 most popular race series in the West and it will be a great time to fellowship and interact. This night racing sounds fun and if you dont get enough racing during the day - there's more to do at night after the meal Sat night

Bring entry forms to the trashman & ys race. You probably get lots of signups there.

Great idea JR,
Im expecting lots of entries to come in after the Trashman. Many are still waiting to see if they have planes left.

Do we know anything about the pylon placement at the Fresno field?
My reason for asking is the YouTube video of a midair at a T-34 race that showed the wreckage not falling far off the course and landing on the edge of the runway on the west end of the course. It looks as though had those been planes in a gold or silver race, the wreckage might have been even closer.

Roy
Thanks for asking
As I look at the video it would appear the course is either shorter or not off set as far as we normally do or set back as far as we do. With that said it also looks like the course will allow us to set back as well as off set just fine for our old planes - no worries, we get to set up our course our way and we will be fine.

This worker prize just arrived today, thanks to Horizon Hobby. A new DX9 transmitter. What a great company and so supportive of Pylon Racing over the years. Great Big Thanks to them. The workers at this race are gonna score in a big way.

Marty,
I am setting a time slot for you in the pilot meeting to talk about your race if you like. It will be on Saturday.

Sunday I will have no time because we are going to start the races at 8:15am so I can get everyone out of there early.
