Well made it through the first ever Warbird Nats with great success. Thank you to every one who invested the time and finances to come to the Nats and support warbird pylon.
Also thank you again to our great sponsors:
YS Engines
APC Props
Ritch's Brew
here are the pics (Below) of the final results after 6 rounds
sorry about the bronze sheet results as we had to hand write the matirx due to low numbers in it at the end and teams pairing up
Also congrats to the winners in the Trophy races as well:
Bronze - Bob Heitkamp
Silver- Ray Brindos
Gold- Mark Sumich

What an awesome event! First class operation Marty! Especially like to thank you, and Jeff Robinson for all your help! Can't say enough about how welcoming everyone was! Just talking with John Verano makes me want to buy one of those engines, and that was before I saw how well they performed! What a cool guy! Speaking of engines, as many of you know my Q40 never made it to the event. I had it running good enough to possibly be competitive on 30%, but I got greedy at the last minute! The day before I left I had to try the 65%. Safety tip #1: Don't do that!! The whistle sound the airframe was making was crazy for about 6 or 7 laps. Unfortunately the piston didn't want to go much further! Lol I ended up putting a 426 engine in as I was packing up the car. The Sport Fighter with the 426 engine combo ran in the 1:50's effortlessly, which I think would be a decent silver. For Gold just buy the YS, and be done with it! Lol I now see why all of you guys love these engines! The bark they make, and how they swing those big wheels could seriously be addicting! Thanks again for making the huge effort to bring this event to the NATS so some of us three polers could see what this is all about! I look forward to seeing all of you next year! Kurt

New Jettson 428WS engine LOL I guess I couldn't help myself but see if this would work. Will have to see how it goes in the Sport Fighter P-51. "Nelson 428 with Jett Carb"
